Wisdom Wednesday: On courage

I know someone who did something really special that I know had to take a lot of courage to plan and execute.;)

It led me to think about what courage is and how we could all use more of it. Too often we choose not to do something because we are too fearful just to live a life full of regrets. We like to think that courage is the absence of fear in the face of adversity, but even the courageous (soldiers, emergency personnel, your parents) has fear. It is the way in which they use their fear to energize themselves when faced with adversity.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition."
