Please help me create care packages for domestic violence victims

She cries herself to sleep at night, the pain from the bruises on her body and the pain of feeling helpless. She loves him but she is afraid of him and afraid to leave him. She finds the courage to seek sanctuary at a local women’s shelter where her and her children can be safe from the harsh reality that she could have been the next victim of domestic violence gone awry.

Domestic Violence awareness month was October, but that is not going to stop SOA from continuing the fight. Domestic Violence doesn't just exist in October, it happens every second of every minute every day. That is why we are hosting the SOA Thanks Project.

During the month of November, we are requesting monetary donations and donated items to create care packages for the women at the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence in Atlanta.

Items requested (for care packages) include:

• Hair care items, specific to African Americans
• Deodorant
• Lotion
• Body wash
• Makeup
• Feminine care items
• Perfume
• Towels and wash cloths
• Books of inspiration
• Notes, words of wisdom

Other items to donate:

• Old cell phones
• Canned foods
• Non-perishable foods
