Will Smith: Running and Reading are the Keys to Life
I have two younger brothers who look up to me to guide them, advise them, and inspire them as only their big sister could. I've tried my best to provide them with examples of how to be the best them they can be by being the best me I can be. I feel like now-a-days it's getting harder and harder to provide kids with just the right inspiration as they are inundated with misleading images and ill-equipped idols. Not only do they have the misfortune of dealing with a school system and society that is failing them (at least in America), but they also have to deal with celebrities providing them with false sense of success.
I really like this video because although it's directed towards kids anyone can take something from it. Will Smith is quite an influential person in Hollywood so I thought it was very great that he wanted to instill such a powerful lesson to the kids at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.

The X Factor: "Listen" sung by Melanie Amaro
I don't normally watch shows like this, however, I HAD to watch it (onDemand of course) after hearing so much about how awesome this young lady sang for Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges. She gave me life with this performance. I got chills and goosebumps!

Everyone wants to be spider man
See...I've ALWAYS had this thought ever since freshmen year of college when I lived on the 5th floor...I'm afraid of heights and the worry of a fire or something else disastrous prevents me from wanting to be on any floor above 5...whether I live there, work there or visit. But this...this is pretty innovative and of course this video comes from TED!

Women Wednesday: Michelle Obama delivers speech to Spelman grads
I don't know about you, but I love Michelle Obama. She is the epitome of what it means to be a mother, loving and supportive wife, while at the same time expressing what it is to be Michelle Obama. How many women can stand behind one of the most powerful men in the world and support him and be there for him while at the same time maintaining their own identity? Michelle Obama was the perfect candidate to speak to the women at the 2011 graduating ceremony at Spelman University.
Check out her inspiring and motivating speech below. *Warning: long video*

Are Mystery Shopper jobs real?
How many of us have heard about those "mystery shopper" jobs? *raises hand* How many of us have thought to ourselves 'this can't be real?'*raises hand* I've heard horror stories from friends about how they got scammed by these companies or their time was severely wasted, however according to Fox5 Atlanta there are legitimate mystery shopper occupations up for grabs. Check out the video they aired today on the news and let me know what you think.
So what are you thoughts?

Got to start them young...
Saw this commercial yesterday and was like "YES! That's a commercial that works!"
Yup, you have to start them early. You can't just give kids an inspirational message like "You can be anything you want to be." without providing them with the tools and knowledge to decide what they want to be.

The Future is Made of Glass
As technology gets smaller, phones get smarter, and geeks get wiser, we consumers are forced to think about where technology will be and how it will affect us in the future.
When you own a business, you always want to be on the cutting edge of technology because staying in the stone age can be the difference between saving money and making it. My manager at my job sent me this and I thought it was the coolest thing (call me a techno junkie). It leads me to think about where the future really does lie and how I can use it to take myself and my business to the next level. Imagine what we could do with a little bit of glass...
I can see it now, who needs a flying car when I can have a car console that tells me good morning and a phone that can transfer information to your table top?

The Future of Business Cards
Some companies see the business card as an extension of both the person and the business. What is your business card saying about you? What is the future of business cards? If you could have an augmented reality business card, how would yours stand out through the clutter?

SOA Subject of interest: Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook
"We push boys towards success more than we do girls."
Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, talks about why there are less women at the top than men.
The best quote from this video is "No one gets to the corner office by sitting on the side of the table." When you think outside of the realm of the video, it's a true statement to life.
When you want something, sitting and waiting for it will not bring it to you. And when you want something being fearful of it will not make it manifest. So raise your hand, and keep it raised until you are acknowledged.
