Motivational Monday: John C. Maxwell

I've been reading 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John C. Maxwell for like the last month or so. The reason it's taking me so long is because of the amount of notes that you end up taking. This book is so profound, I have to ensure that it is a part of my library. But anyways, there is much to be said in the book so I definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to be or learn to be a good or better leader.

Today's quote comes from that book. Lately, I've been talking to many people including friends, family and colleagues about change. So many people fear change that they are willing to let life pass them by just so that things can stay the same for them. It always leads me to think about where we would be in the 21st century if everyone lived a life fearful of change. Would we be where we are with technology, medicine, and communications? Would we be where we are in society? Would we be where we are in our personal lives?Probably not. Life is always progressing, with or without you.

"Change is the price of progression
      -John C. Maxwell

The fear of change is more powerful than the actual act of change. So why be fearful? Regardless of any action you take to prevent something from happening, if it is meant to be it will happen with or without you because you can't stop progress. So don't be afraid of change, instead embrace it. It might be the best decision you've ever made.
